SouthLake’s involvement with North Portland’s Roosevelt High School began June 21st, 2008 when 1,000 SouthLake attenders converged on Roosevelt with cleaning supplies, paint brushes, and pruning shears for a work day to remember! Since then our commitment to the school and its community has grown even deeper. We’re now involved in many aspects of the school’s functioning, and want to continue to support the great students and staff of Roosevelt any way that we can.

Volunteer Needs:
FOOTBALL TEAM TRAINER:
Overview: Roosevelt High School is seeking a volunteer trainer.
Commitment: Monday - Friday a couple hours each day
Requirements: Must have a medical background

CLOTHES CLOSET:
Overview: To ensure that all Portland Public Schools students in North Portland have access to quality, season-appropriate clothing and footwear.
Volunteer Roles Available: Closet Assistants to serve kids and families, and/or to help stock and organize.
Commitment: One or two two-hour service shifts per month for organizing clothes and/or serving kids and families.

Overview: To ensure that the generous outpouring of material support offered by the SouthLake community reaches its' intended destination and recipient quickly and efficiently.
Volunteer Roles Available: Drivers/ Transportation Volunteers
Commitment: Varies depending on need. Average 4 hours per month.

Overview: To support ongoing SouthLake Outreach ministry initiatives.
Volunteer Roles Available: Administrative Assistance Volunteer to be part of an "on call" pool of helpers willing to serve as needs arise.
Commitment: Varies depending on need. Average 4 hours per month.
