Alpha
What It Is:The Alpha course is an eleven-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith today centered around a meal, a video presentation, and small group discussion.
Who Should Come:
Adults of all ages are invited. This includes anyone investigating Christianity, new in the Christian faith or new to SouthLake; hungry for spiritual renewal or handling life’s problems. It’s a great way to brush up on the basics, prepare for marriage, or take your walk with Christ to a deeper level.
Why You Should Come:
Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile, and all viewpoints are respected. Life can be tough, but no matter what you are facing, Alpha is a place to ask why – with the freedom to share, or just sit back and listen. Some of the closest and most long-lasting friendships have been built on the Alpha course. Each week begins with dinner so you can connect on a more personal level. On the weekend retreat (optional), you can get to know each other better.
The first night is not a commitment, but simply a chance to see if Alpha might be right for you. Come. Bring a friend. Learn, laugh, meet people, eat good food, and ask any questions you have about the Christian faith.
How Much?
There is no charge for the Alpha course.
